Besides the real story of Christmas, there’s not another Christmas story that’s had a more profound impact on the world than Charles’ Dickens “A Christmas Carol.”  The story of Ebenezer Scrooge is no fairy tale or children’s story. Rather, it’s a raw and candid look at life and death, bitterness and joy, sin and redemption.  There is a ghost…some picture of death…on virtually every page.  Yet “A Christmas Carol” embodies the Gospel.  Through stark visions of greed, selfishness, lost love and painful death, Ebenezer Scrooge is forced to face his drastic need for change.  And he does change.  And so can we.
